ZIG ZAG RUNNING STRAIGHT


Zig Zag Public School takes to the hockey field for the third year in a row, confident  of a finals win.  Zig Zag are the defending champions of the NSW Teachers' Credit Union Shield.   They are playing in the State Primary School Sporting Association Boys' Hockey Knock-out competition.

 

School Captain, Lachlan Sharp and cousin, Daniel Shepherd played in the NSW State PSSA Hockey side. Lachlan captained the Western Region and State team.  It was his second consecutive year playing for NSW.

 

Zig Zag is a small school of 39 students located in the central west town of Lithgow.   The Zig Zag Public School hockey team consists of 11 boys from Year 3 to Year 6.  There is no other small school in the State that is able to match the sporting prowess of this team. 


The State PSSA Boys' and Girls' Hockey semi-finals and finals will be played at the Glanmire Hockey Complex in Lithgow next Monday, 28thSeptember..
