Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
At Zig Zag, we are proud to be a small school with a strong sense of family and community. Every child is known, valued, and supported to achieve their best.
Our vision, “Learning for All: Learning for Life”, guides everything we do. We are committed to nurturing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe learning should inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience, preparing our students not only for success at school, but for a lifetime of growth and opportunity.
We are fortunate to have dedicated teachers and support staff who bring their passion, expertise, and care to every classroom. Their commitment ensures our students receive the highest quality of learning experiences in an environment that fosters respect, belonging, and high expectations.
As a school, we value our partnerships with parents and the wider community, recognising that education is strongest when we work together. We proudly acknowledge and celebrate the culture and identity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring that this is an important and respected part of our students’ learning journey.
Preparing students for the future also means equipping them with the skills to thrive in a digital world. We integrate technology across learning, empowering students to be confident, responsible, and innovative users of digital tools.
Through strong relationships, positive behaviour programs such as the PAX Good Behaviour framework, and a focus on wellbeing, we empower our students to grow, belong, and thrive as confident lifelong learners.
Kind Regards
Vicki Gillmore, Principal Zig Zag Public School
